A few posts ago I put up some recipes for green smoothies
which I absolutely love, but if you notice, a good majority of my green
smoothie is fruit, and not so much veggies.
What can I say, I love fruit and hate veggies!
BUT, I have been encouraged to try incorporating more
veggies in my diet. I have also recently
read a lot and learned a lot about juicing.
Coincidentally, I was helping a family move into their new house and was
offered a healthy juice from a local cafĂ© – Deja Vu. The mom said she swore by them when she did
not have time to make her own. By her
description of it (you can see that below) I was nervous, but decided to give
it a try.
As I picked up the bright green juice, I am sure I
grimaced. I took a sip … it was
delicious! I don’t have a juicer, but
luckily I am close to the shop at which this drink was created, and maybe
eventually I will get a juicer.
These are the ingredients in the drink that I tasted (and
loved!): kale, green apple, ginger, lemon, cucumber, lime, spinach, and
parsley.
