A few weeks ago I was riding the subway in NY. I was in NY doing some recruiting for Chapman (one of the several cool trips the law school is sending me on). Anyway, I was standing in the crowded subway train, looking around at all the interesting people, and trying to figure out exactly what transfer I needed to make next to get to wherever it was I was going.
As I often do when using public transportation, I took a look around the subway car and noted all of the postings. Some were regarding services changes. Some were maps of the subway system. Some were advertisements. One advertisement in particular caught my eye.
The advertisement was for the Freelancers Union. I honestly have no clue what that is, but it was the statement that was stirring. It said “When there is no solution, make one. That’s kind of what entrepreneurs do.”
When there is no solution, making one takes gumption!
