Success Club Trip 2015: Cancun

On April 15, 2015, I flew from SFO to LAX to CAN on Virgin America.  I was so excited to get to Cancun I could barely pay attention to the personal development book I brought with me on the plane (the Four Agreements).  I landed and met my ride (USA Transfers) right outside the airport doors; they were super nice and helpful and drove me directly to the resort where I was greeted by great big signs, refreshments, and even a carnation.  :)

I met up with three other coaches and we got all checked in, then headed to the rooms (which all had water views and hammocks on the patio.  After checking out all the rooms, we hung out chit chatting and then proceeded to the welcome reception for food, entertainment, and FIREWORKS to get everything started with a BANG.

Thursday started off with group workouts that I unfortunately had to opt out of because I was sick (really horrible virus, so doctor said no alcohol and no exercise).  Then there were a series of presentations about new products and programs to be released - a brand new performance line and a new Shaun T program called CIZE.  Then afternoon was rounded out by spending a couple of hours at the pool, and then dinner at the resort steakhouse.

Friday we got up really early and took a bus to the Mayan ruins at a Tulum.  We explored the ruins a bit and then took the bus to Xel-ha, an amazing natural water park.  We ate lunch there and then proceeded to float down the lazy river and take a group hammock nap.  Then we took the bus back to the resort and met up with more coaches for dinner at the Italian restaurant and dessert at the buffet!

Saturday morning there was another set of presentations that were both informative and inspiring.  All I wanted to do was get to work on my coaching business.  So that' exactly what I did.  I borrow another coach's computer and three of us ordered room service and had a joint work session in one of our rooms.  (Sidenote: on the way from my room to one of the other girls room, my friend and I ran into Shaun T and got to talk to him for a few minutes!!) That night was the farewell reception with more food, dancing, and close out fireworks.

I was very, very sick during this trip, dealing with an immense amount of pain from a virus that was supposed to clear up, but just kept getting worse.  I was popping Advil like M&Ms and downing glass after glass of ice water.  In all honesty, I probably should not have gone, but I also know that if I had it to do over, I would still go (I would just get better meds first!)

This trip was my very first Success Club Trip that I earned (click here if you want to learn how) and it mean the absolute world to me to be a new coach attending such a prestigious event.  I met millionaire coaches and celebrity trainers.  I got a sneak peek into developing products.  I got one-on-one time with my mentor.  I was completely pumped up by an atmosphere so inspiring, exciting, and full of energy that it was practically crackling.  This was/is a turning point in my business and my life, the beginning of the beginning.  I will NEVER miss SC because I will NEVER miss this trip.
